Sarah Simoneaux is the founder and president of Simoneaux Consulting Services. SCS specializes in helping firms with retirement services technology and operations consulting, finding opportunities from government legislation and regulation of qualified plans, strategic planning and communication and presentation skills training. Sarah is an experienced keynote speaker who specializes in weaving compelling stories into ERISA and management topics.
Sarah served as President of ASPPA in 2005-2006, and she was the recipient of the Harry T. Eidson Founders’ Award in 2020 for significant contributions to ASPPA and to the private pension system. She wrote the textbook, Retirement Plan Consulting for Financial Professionals and is the author of the NAPA Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) online course. She was part of the team who created the Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) and Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) credentials as well as the online Retirement Plan Fundamentals (RPF) course. She created and teaches case study-based sessions tailored to retirement services firms’ client-facing associates.
Sarah’s personal passion is coaching high school debate, and in her post-retirement career, she envisions starting a speech and debate-centered high school for at-risk young people in New Orleans. Her husband is hoping that his command of six languages will entice her to travel overseas. Her adult children living on the east coast hope her travels only occasionally take her to New York or Washington DC.
