From her extensive roles in Inpatient and Outpatient coding to leadership positions like VP of Revenue Cycle Management and SME in Quality and Audits, Sharon's depth of experience provides her a holistic view of healthcare. This, coupled with her time in both acute and ambulatory settings, offers invaluable insights into the continuous evolution of the field.
Beyond her operational roles, Sharon's influence permeates the industry. A past AHIMA Board Member and President of NCHIMA, she also served as the Advisory Board Chair for the American College of Physician Advisors, Wolters Kluwer, and ICD-10 Monitor/RACMonitor Advisory Boards. Sharon's desire to share her expertise is evident: from her contributions to national publications and presenter for AHIMA, AAPC, HFMA, HIMSS to CMS, and her anticipated new book on Clinical Documentation Improvement to be released soon.
